Yesterday, I mentioned we are moving, and dubbage42 said, "What?! You just remodeled your kitchen!"

Which is pretty much what everybody says.

But see...I've always fantasized about living in a Christmas House, a bright red house in a very green environment, and I've finally found one. ( See...! )

Sorry I haven't written. We've been moving into the kitchen and trying to reclaim our other living space at the same time. We sorted through books (this is a huge task!), and split up our huge bookcase unit into two so it doesn't overwhelm the space anymore. Etc. Big job, and we aren't finished ( Read more... )

I've posted two sad/depressing entries in a row, so it's time to cheer up.

We spent the day cleaning out the kitchen and starting the move in. It isn't finished (i.e. many of the cabinets don't have doors), but it IS functional anyway. And my stainless steel suspended lamps are totally cool ( Read more... )

I dreamed that our GC walked out on us (oh, wait--that part wasn't a dream, dman his hide!).
